Q. What is the most important thing I should do first from this system?

A. To get the quickest return for your efforts, You should work on whatever you are weakest at first. If you are weakest at hitting the ball straight (like most people), then focus on square and point (using the mental techniques in CD 2 and 3 to work it). If you're biggest problem is consistency, get your pre-shot routine down and wired incorporating all the major elements (CD 1). The main point here is to work on one major area at a time until it becomes habit. (80/20 rule)

Q. What CD should I listen to first?

A. It is my suggestion to listen first to CD 1 - Inspiration, as it will give you the idea that you really can significantly improve. Our tired, old ideas of golf improvement are our biggest hurdles. After that, go to the CD that makes sense for your situation, ie. if you are on the way to the course, listen to CD 4. If it's wintertime and you can't play, listen to CD 2 and then CD 3.

Q. How long will it take for me to see significantly lower scores?

A. Plain and simple - It depends on how much effort you put into it. There are plenty of ideas in here that if used will save you strokes on your next round. For that kind of results, go straight to CD 4 before your next round. Over the next season, if all you do is the nightly visualization/relaxation routine consistently, you should easily lose the promised 10 strokes if you are an average golfer. You could potentially lose even more if you score over 100.

Q. Does this program work with other programs I have such as "Natural Golf" or other instructional videos.

A. Absolutely! The only section in this system that might come in conflict with other instruction is the physical swing ideas (3-position method). If you have confidence in your current method, by all means, USE IT and ignore this section. I offer it for those who wanted a solid, simple way of finding a decent swing on their own that has proven success behind it.

Q. My biggest problem is swing consistency. How can this program help that??

A. O.k, you are not alone with that issue. In fact, it was my biggest challenge for years and really most average golfer's as well. What I teach about how to defeat that problem that you'll find in the CD's is:
1. Understand "square and point" (see member's CD 1 page for detailed info)
2. Understand "constant swing axis" (also member's CD 1 page)
3. Use techniques on Mental CD to pound those concepts into your subconscious.
4. Develop the idea of letting our unconscious play the shot the way it knows how.
We are going to trust the physics of 1 & 2 to hit the ball solid and straight and not worry about anything else with regard to "how to swing". Then, we will use the rest of the program to "build consistency" into our playing by creating new habits out on the course (most importantly, a pre-shot routine). These new thoughts and actions will culminate with a swing that was created by you and patterned after your best shots that you've already had with each club. Q.How do I fix this: It seems that I worry about how I look while swinging the club.I can feel everybody watching me and it really screws me up.
This is so common with golfers. I know exactly how you feel. In fact, once when I was doing my one-on-one coaching with a member, I was trying so really hard to impress him how good I was that I was stiff as a board and chunked a few shots right after giving my advice. So, I stopped scoring and caring and whala, started playing well. You really need to etch down in stone a pre-shot routine that has all of the elements I talk about in CD2 and members page 2. This routine will not only help you build in consistency (a set of consistent motions culminating in a consistent swing motion), but it will KEEP YOUR CONSCIOUS MIND OCCUPIED.
This is the primary killer of our golf potential, that part of our mind that wants to "direct" things. It does nothing but ruin a golf swing.
You must train yourself to let your subconscious play the shots and get that little voice with the bad shots out of the way. The only way to do that is to give it something else to do. Play golf like you would ride a bike. Do you tell your arms and legs how to get on a bike and steer and pedal? No, you just get on and tell yourself to "ride toward your destination" and your subconscious takes care of it all. I struggle with this just like you. In addition to focusing hard on minute details of repeating my pre-shot routine, during my intuitive phase (after the practice swing) I begin to sing a little rock song I like (Midnight Confessions by the Grass Roots) inside my head, sometimes even a little bit out loud. I am actually remembering and singing the words to myself while in the act of swinging the club!. I start this song right after telling my subconscious to hit the ball to my target. THIS WORKS WONDERS! You can also the try the "da da da da" method (from Inner Golf) where you try to say or think "da" when you start your backswing, when you hit the top, when you hit the ball, and when you are done. You can also use the words "back, forward, hit, stop" in place of "da, da, da, da". Again, the point is to keep your conscious busy with something other than thinking all those bad thoughts. You need to give it something to do or it will find something that will ruin your game.

Q.My biggest problems are with my long irons and woods. What can I do??

A. Here's the biggest shocker to fixing someone's long game...fix your short game and your long game will get better all by itself! Why is this? Because we swing "scared" with our long irons and woods as we worry about how far offline our shot will go. When you feel totally confident that you can get up and down from anywhere off the green with your wedges (it doesn't really matter if you actually can, all that matters is whether you REALLY feel confident about it) , then you will start to have a free swing with the long game and you will trust the concepts of square and point and constant swing axis (see CD 1 and member's page 1). This is the way us busy people will straighten out our long shots. Yes, you can go take lessons and practice the heck out of what is taught by your pro and that will work, but, who has the time?

The next thing is to swing the long clubs easier and take more club. I know it sounds simplistic but if you want to prove it to yourself, go out and try playing a round (or 9 holes) and leave your woods at home. As long as you're not playing a 7,000 yd course, you will be as stunned as I was when I scored the same as I normally do when I bring my woods. Why? Because I had no balloon scores from hitting long shots OB or in the woods. The object of the game to breaking 80 is not to shoot for birdies or even sometimes pars. It's to eliminate balloon score holes. You can make many small mistakes in a round and still break 80. It's the large ones that kill us. Add in there playing a nice hard rock ball that doesn't spin much. (I usually always play a "distance" 2-piece ball so that I can hit the dang thing straight first and foremost!) Q. I've heard that hypnosis is a bunch of hooey and this other stuff, NLP and Superlearning sounds even more flaky. Why should I believe that any of it is for real?

You can spend days reading in Medical and Scientific Journals in libraries and on the web if you really want to be solidly convinced. Also, there are thousands of professionals making nice livings helping people through these methods for many problems such as weight loss, smoking etc. Recently, many have gotten into sports psychology and if they weren't producing real results for people, they simply wouldn't have a business. The bottom line for most folks is that top golf pros and sports psychologists are using these methods.

I know the program works and have included tools to make it easy for you (member's pages, cheat sheet, etc.) All I ask is that you give it a good effort. I really want your scores to go down and so I didn't want a short guarantee period to put the pressure on you. I have plans for more free ebooks and goodies over the next year for paid members as added incentive to stick with this. Eventually the member's pages will be a separate paid product but anyone in before that will be grandfathered for no extra charge unless you request a refund during the year.

Q. These tapes are 4-plus hours. If I had 4 hours to spend, I'd take lessons. How am I going to find the time to listen to this program?

A. The most often-overlooked time we waste in our life is spent in our vehicles travelling. I can't think of a better way to multi-task than driving and listening to instructive audio CD's. The information presented is no more difficult to understand and pay attention to while driving than listening to typical talk radio. Even better, when you need to focus on your driving, you can pause it. Also, doing household chores or working in the garage is a good time to spin a CD. You'll find that you want to re-listen to these tapes multiple times to help the info soak in. P.S., I always recommend PGA pro lessons if you have the time and can afford it.

Although there is strong support for the effectiveness of music in learning, we still know little about how the reported effects of music on learning are actually achieved. In the context of the studies reviewed here the effectiveness of music can be explained in several ways. Music appears to create a more pleasant learning environment in terms of affective criteria (Schuster & Mouzon 1982) which may improve performance. It further appears to have the potential to affect concentration and attention rate and in turn improve on-task behaviour (Davidson & Powell 1986). Music also appears to be associated with physiological effects such as a lowered heartrate (Blanchard 1979) and increased alpha brain waves (Lozanov 1978) which may be instrumental in improved performance. Finally, studies which included the reinstatement of music during testing (Schuster & Mouzon 1982, Smith 1985) indicate that context-cuing may be involved.
